June car sales one of the highest on record
Fri, 03/07/2009
New motor vehicles sold in Australia for June 2009 came out at 102,000. This figure has only been topped in three previous months, and representes a 3.5% increase in sales from June last year. Benefit for part of the boost is based on the generous tax advantages for businesses available for new car business purchasers. Additionally, there have been some low priced specials across the board from various manufacturers to help clear stock before the end of the financial year. Car sales are often sighted as a good indicator of consumer confidence, and this news comes as hope that the economy is well on its way towards a recovery. |
